The final workout for the Teams division at Bayfront Park for the 2024 TYR Wodapalooza Miami competition was a classic. The “Worm Fran” challenged athletes to thrusters and pull-ups through to the end of the weekend.
The podiums for both Teams divisions were still very much up for grabs, so spectators in Miami, FL, knew they’d get to see a final workout for high stakes.
Team GOWOD entered with the overall lead for the men, and a second-place finish in event six was enough to claim the overall gold. Stronger Than a 90s Trend ascended the women’s leaderboard due to consistently strong finishes that ended with an event six win.

2024 marks the first year that a second tentpole Wodapalooza event will take place, featuring CrossFit’s top athletes in the fall. The 2024 Wodapalooza SoCal competition is scheduled for Sept. 22-24, 2024, in Huntington Beach, CA.
