Canyon Ranch Launches Longevity Retreat at its Tuscon Resort

For $20K, wellness seekers can book a transformative stay aimed at longevity

Canyon Ranch is rebranding rest and relaxation as an opportunity to educate guests on their health and extend their lifespan with Longevity 8, a $20,000 per person ($36,000 per couple) four-day, four-night program built on several health and wellness pillars.

The resort wellness company is launching the program at its Tuscon resort Nov. 10 – 14, with the fee including accommodations, meals, activities, educational sessions, consultations and health and well-being services.

After booking a Longevity 8 stay, guests undergo a pre-stay consultation to discuss their goals and current health status. After checking into the resort, guests undergo a slew of tests and sessions including:

a comprehensive lab panel of 200+ biomarkers

an electrocardiogram

a DEXA scan and bone density evaluation

a VO2 max assessment

a private mind-body practice

a personalized physician consult

continuous glucose monitoring

an in-room overnight sleep screening

a vascular ultrasound

a musculoskeletal and joint assessment

a diet score

a healing session with a mental health and wellness therapist

a personal training plan

a session with a spiritual wellness therapist

a nutrition coaching session

Mark Rivers, Canyon Ranch CEO, said the new Longevity 8 program provides a road map to longevity that goes beyond a four-day stay. Following the completion of the program, guests receive six months of virtual follow-up appointments.

“Canyon Ranch is cutting through much of the noise in the longevity space that is not necessarily based on the complete science of healthy living,” he said. “We know that longevity is the ultimate human endeavor, and while tools and technology are critical, we know that expertise, human connection, and total perspective may be most important to a life of health and happiness.”

By “human connection,” Rivers means that Longevity 8 features 18 consults with the Canyon Ranch team, who will review the diagnostic tests and biomarkers to create a personalized longevity plan for guests

“Extending lifespan while improving health span has never been more important, particularly for Generation X as we age and begin to see our parents living longer but not necessarily healthier,” Rivers added.

“Only 20-40% of factors that determine lifespan are inherited genetically. This means 60-80% of these elements are trainable and adaptable based on lifestyle adjustments in mind, body and spirit, which is where the principals of Longevity 8 can make a direct impact.”

Following its November launch, the next Longevity 8 session is Dec. 8 – 12. Ten Longevity 8 sessions are planned for 2025.
