Whoop 5.0 & Whoop MG Launch to Redefine Health and Longevity

With medical-grade features, smarter insights and a focus on healthspan, Whoop’s next-generation platform puts the science of aging into consumers’ hands

Whoop has launched its most advanced devices yet, Whoop 5.0 and Whoop MG, alongside a redesigned app experience and a new tiered membership model, all designed to bring the power of proactive, personalized health and longevity tracking to a broader audience. The new wearables feature upgraded sensors, 14-day battery life and new capabilities, including on-demand ECG, blood pressure insights and Whoop Age, which quantifies physiological aging based on daily behavior.

“This isn’t just a product launch. It’s a new chapter for Whoop and for our members,” said Whoop Founder and CEO Will Ahmed. “We’ve taken everything we’ve learned over the past decade and built a platform to help our members perform and live at their peak for longer. We’ve held nothing back.”

Whoop has evolved from a performance-focused tracker for elite athletes to a full-fledged health optimization system, signaling a broader movement within the longevity space.

“Whoop’s evolution from focusing solely on elite athletic performance to embracing everyday health optimization represents a critical inflection point for the entire longevity industry,” said Dr. Joseph Antoun, CEO of L-Nutra, a leader in metabolic health programs. “We’re witnessing wearable technology moving to the frontline of longevity science, where continuous biometric monitoring can reveal subtle physiological changes that predict health outcomes. The longevity market’s projected growth to $600 billion this year is driven by the desire to transform how we understand and manage our bodies to maximize healthspan.”

This focus on healthspan, not just lifespan, is central to Whoop’s new offering. The Healthspan feature, developed in collaboration with Dr. Eric Verdin of the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, introduces Whoop Age and Pace of Aging, two metrics that offer members daily insight into how their behaviors are shaping their biological aging trajectory. Combined with features like sleep optimization, stress monitoring, and muscular strain tracking, Whoop provides users with insights based on real-time feedback.

The devices also introduce medical-grade tools for heart health, including an FDA-cleared ECG built into Whoop MG, which allows users to detect signs of atrial fibrillation and share readings directly with a healthcare provider. Blood Pressure Insights, a wrist-based estimator, gives members a daily view of systolic and diastolic trends.

Whoop’s new platform arrives at a time of growing consumer demand for more personalized and preventative approaches to health.

“Today’s health-conscious consumers are actively seeking personalized insights to optimize their wellbeing before problems arise,” Dr. Antoun added. “People are moving beyond the reactive treatment model that has dominated healthcare for decades. They want to understand their unique biology, make informed decisions and take control of their health destiny, especially when it comes to preventing the metabolic diseases that affect half of American adults.”

That shift toward daily engagement with health is exactly what Whoop is designed to support. From enhanced sleep scores to hormonal health insights for menstruation, pregnancy and perimenopause, the platform adapts with users as they move through life stages. It also includes comprehensive fitness tracking, daily step counts, VO2 Max estimates and the ability to track more than 145 activities.
“The combination of real-time lifestyle tracking and proven metabolic interventions like fasting is where the future of longevity is headed,” said Dr. Antoun. “We’ve known for years that fasting triggers cellular repair and promotes healthy aging, but now with wearable data, we can personalize fasting schedules based on stress levels, recovery and sleep quality. This turns longevity from a once-a-year doctor’s visit into a daily practice.”

Whoop is now available in three tiers to match different user needs: Whoop One ($199/year), Whoop Peak ($239/year) and Whoop Life ($359/year), the latter unlocking the most comprehensive suite of longevity tools the company has offered. Whoop 5.0 and MG are available now at whoop.com and through major retailers across 56 global markets.
