CorePower Yoga Launches Nationwide Initiative for Mental Health Awareness Month

The brand has launched “Live Your Power,” a nationwide campaign blending yoga, community and mental health advocacy

For Mental Health Awareness Month this May, CorePower Yoga is launching a national campaign to foster mental wellness through yoga, mindfulness and community connection. Central to the initiative is Live Your Power Day, a nationwide studio activation on Sunday, May 4th, that will feature free, donation-based Community Classes. Proceeds from the event will benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the country’s largest grassroots mental health organization.

To elevate the campaign’s message, CorePower Yoga has partnered with Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles as its official ambassador. Chiles, who turned to yoga during a time of emotional and physical recovery, has credited the practice with helping her rebuild strength and regain emotional balance.

“Yoga gave me the space to reconnect with myself—not just physically, but mentally,” Chiles said. “Mental resilience is just as important as physical strength and I’m proud to help destigmatize conversations around mental health.”

A growing body of research suggests that yoga, especially in heated environments like those used in CorePower classes, can ease symptoms of anxiety and depression. Practices like breathwork and mindful movement activate the parasympathetic nervous system, reduce cortisol levels and promote emotional release.

Throughout May, CorePower Yoga will extend its support with several initiatives. Its 31-Day Mindfulness Journey is a free daily program available on the CorePower Yoga app, featuring breathwork sessions, journaling prompts, sound healing and other reflective practices. All Access Members will also receive exclusive offers from partner brands, including Farmacy, Skin Laundry, The NOW, HigherDOSE and Methodology. Every Sunday in May, free Community Classes across the country will explore CorePower’s “Live Your Power” pillars. These sessions will be designed to help students tap into personal resilience and foster a sense of grounded empowerment.

Nearly one in five adults in the U.S. experiences a mental illness in a given year. By combining evidence-based wellness practices with inclusive community engagement, the company hopes to offer both immediate tools and lasting inspiration.

“Yoga is more than movement,” said a CorePower spokesperson. “It’s a pathway to self-understanding, healing and empowerment. This May, we’re inviting everyone to experience that journey—and to support each other along the way.”
